The '85's got the TPS under the throttle like the later vans. 83 and 84 have
the two obvious micro switches.
They do nothing on a cold engine. Only after it warms up and goes closed
loop do they have an effect.

Hi Volks,

I was working on a local van yesterday and noticed a small surge at idle
when cold. When I checked the engine compartment I was surprised... I
could not find the throttle position switches. No wiring leading to them
either.

This van was built in October 1985; is it possible there was a version of
digifant without the TPS?
