Subject: mini-adventure: Westy propane at U-Haul
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

Prepping for a trip and figuring that after almost four years the propane might be getting low, I found in the Yellow Pages that a U-Haul was the closest to us, and on the phone Andre confirmed he had worked with Westies before.  Quick and painless, the trick to filling with the AutoStop valve is to open the overfill relief ALL THE WAY as the written instructions indicate but which previous fillers evidently did not do.

Turns out that Andre is also a VW nut; his daily driver is a silver New Beetle, his current project is a Cabriolet conversion to propane, his current wish list contains a diesel Rabbit pickup, and he just sold a 23 window split for "too much money to turn down."  You meet the nicest people...

Stephen
