Okay.... here's the story.

The van is across the country. The current owner bought it from a junkyard where he happened to see it had just shown up and had not yet been picked through (they took 3 tires and the front seats, thats all so far). Anyway, the van was sent to the junkyard as part of an estate sale (I guess someone died, and they got rid of their van for whatever reason) So, it is complete, however no attempts to run it have been made. Well while it was sitting at the junkyard, the junkyard processed it to be shredded and "turned in the title". Thus when the current owner bought it from the junkyard, they were given a bill of sale, and I will be given a bill of sale from the current owner.

This of course is less than ideal circumstances to buy a car under. This is however, EXACTLY what i've had my eye out for and a pair of pennies rubbing together in my pocket waiting for, for some time now. As such, I am confident this particular van will not come up again, and I'm almost ready to settle for something else.... except HERE IT IS! It has come up, it's for sale, i'm able to buy it, and just need to figure this crap out first.

I've requested the VIN from him and will be calling my local DMV about it tomorrow. Any additional suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
