Subject: Clear Coat Peeling
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

I've had my 90 burgundy colored Westy for 3 yrs, now, and the clear coat is starting to peel in the front below the windshield, and on the mirrors. I also accidentally scraped a thin line of clear coat on the sliding door by brushing against a plastic trash bin. The paint and the metal aren't scratched - just a line of clear coat.

The fiberglass has lost its luster, but I have fiberglass polish for that. I have to park it outside because I don't have a garage or carport. Can I just get the clear coat redone? Does anyone have a general idea of what it costs? There's nothing wrong with the rest of the Vanagon. I'd like to keep it in reasonably good condition.
