Thanks for all the responses and for those who called. I was able to catch the owner, Alex, at Motorworks in Millerton, NY.  He was not overjoyed to see me 15 minutes before cliosing which is where we were 1 year ago today.  At first he said it was just the clamp as it was skewed.  Then he felt the hose and there is a bulge.  He found some parts to adapt a new Jetta hose on there but really wanted to close shop.  I am going back there at 8 AM tommorow. That is great that he is going to come in for this. I could probably do the job myself but I'd feel more comfortable not having to rig something in a camground.  Hopefully everything will be OK.
