Srsly? Lemme go look ...

... I can't find it. Must be well-hidden in a non-obvious category. I know that Terry Kay has 'em for thirty-five simoleons. I could buy, but would like to repair.

The leak appears to come from the gap between the two plastic parts, which the rubbery gasket should seal under compression, but that gasket doesn't seem to be as interested in doing that as it did when it was a youngster.

Peter T. Owsianowski proposes epoxy, which could be smeared over the end to seal the two parts together; I painted my cap bright yellow with spray paint for plastic -- to reduce chance of losing the thing -- and so the epoxy would be adhering to the paint, not the plastic, no telling how well the paint is gummed to the plastic. 84 Westfalia: Mellow Yellow ("The Electrical Banana") 74 Westrailia: (Ladybug Trailer company, San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) Bend, OR KG6RCR David Beierl has a cool suggestion to use RTV gasket compound and Vaseline to form a new gasket, and I'm predisposed to favor anything that involves Vaseline.
