I saw a post of yours in archives musing over the thought of using a bearing in that hole. That would totally rock. I imagine there's not enough metal there to install a roller type bearing. Obviously Bronze would be easier to install. Didn't know it was self lubing. Such a PITA part to get to and repair. I wonder how long the Bronze bushing would last? Still, I like your idea. Wish I had a lathe. But maybe a drill press and some filing would do to make the Bronze part.

Woke up this morning (Insert blues lick: "dah da-da-da-dunt"), and thought that one could use a soda straw with some kind of plunger to push a greasy type lube onto that clevis/arm point. Also thought that a mix of thick sticky oil like Phils Tenacious + generic wheel bearing grease could be made "runny" enough to slop around that point, but also stick around.

IIRC, in spite of a worn clevis hole, the bushings at the main pivots were ok. (but they got replaced anyway)

Seems that clevis hole takes a beating.

Great idea. I think that would be useful. Time intensive to create I bet.

Neil.
