Yah that bearing makes more sense. I guess the one I pointed to is useful for a blind hole, in that it keeps the grease. And likely it's too thin. And as per your comments, pressing in a bearing would be far easier for the average shade tree type. Though they'd likely have to find a way to back fill the ovaled bit. Would JB work for that? Or maybe new hole to accept bushing would make oval bit a non issue?

FWIW, I pinned the clutch pedal to the floor with wood between pedal and seat. This brought clevis down lower which made it easier to get my hand up there and smear my home made slightly runny grease on joint.
