in power boats.. the trailerable kind ...there's a drain or two at the bottom of the transom .. for draining the boat when pulling it out of the water.

that plug or plugs ..are always tied to the steering wheel so you can't forget to put them in before launching.

it's a well known reminder trick. you 'misplace an object intentionally' .. anything will work.. you put a book in front of the front door to remind you of something ..you see that object there, and you go 'why did I put that there ? - oh right ! "

works really well too.

just need a bigger brighter warning light for the parking brake. I suspect that many of those warning lights may not work for low brake fluid level. I should test more vans that have feature,. to see if it works for low fluid level if it has that feature. I found a bad brake warning light recently too.....already mentioned that . not all vanagons have the low fluid level warning feature.
