I need help here from anyone. I am trying to 'time' my 82 Aircooled 2.0L California Smog Van.

I warmed up the car, and tried to time it at 5 degree ATDC as stated, looks like I need to turn distributor more counterclockwise to reach this mark however cold start valve tells me otherwise. (As is; nothing disconeected)

The mix up...

Decal on engine bay says 5 degrees ATDC, unplug O2 sensor and Breather hose.

Haynes says disconnect Vacuum advance and time at 5 Degrees ATDC

Bentley say unplug Idle Stabilizer and plug into itself to 5 dregrees ATDC....

Any thoughts..... _________________________________________________________________ The New Busy is not the too busy. Combine all your e-mail accounts with Hotmail. http://www.windowslive.com/campaign/thenewbusy?tile=multiaccount&ocid=PID28326::T:WLMTAGL:ON:WL:en-US:WM_HMP:042010_4
