<<Hey Edward, your PRV should be set at 40-50 PSI. Any more and you'll be blowing the valves on your washer and dishwasher, not to mention your toilet...>>

Actually, many pressure switches for wells are the 40/60 type. My cabin for example has a 40/60 installed and the pressure is incredible, almost stinging in the shower. From what I'm told, 75 PSI is when pressure relief valves and such start to go crazy. I seriously doubt 60 PSI would blow valves out, although that is on the high side for sure.

On the subject of rescue tape, I tried to repair a hose on a portable air compressor. It squeaked like crazy, but got the job done. Granted, I did not wrap five or six layers around, but at least two or three. Pressure was probably up to 50 PSI or so. I still carry a roll in my van, "just in case". Pretty cheap insurance if a hose goes.

Happy Fourth of July to everyone! My girlfriend just called me from Whitehorse, Canada to tell me that the clutch went out on her car, so not everyone is having fun! $185 for a tow and evaluation to get things started...
