Edward, I have Rescue Tape, Professional Grade (double thickness, double width), and as I said, I wrapped 3 layers, pulled as tight as I could. I don't believe I could pull this stuff in two. It would take quite a tug, anyway. BTW, I think it would take more than a single layer to even make it stick, as it sticks to itself, not to the substrate. It is the pressure of the tape on the wound that plugs it, as I understand, not the tape sticking to the substrate. So, if it works like I believe it does, the first wrap, stretched as much as possible, is there, but doesn't seal. Second and third wraps, stretched tight, and sticking to the underlying layer, force that layer into the breach. Pressure from the top layers keep the under layer sealed against the substrate. It is, by its nature, constantly trying to contract, which puts pressure on whatever is underneath it. Someone else may have a better understanding of the physics that is going on with the stuff.
