Last Sat. I downshifted to second gear while turning into my driveway.  It
was around 100 degrees so I had the a/c on.  After downshifting my idle
would not return to normal - was idling at almost 2,000 rpm.  I haven't had
cause to drive the van anywhere since Sat. so I have not tried to restart to
see if it continues to idle high.


Years ago, sometime in the 1990s, I had to replace an idle control something
or other on my 87 2wd when the idle would not return to normal.


Does this sound like the same thing, and how should I go about
troubleshooting?
