Hi all:


Long-ago Type2 and Vanagon lists member who's dipping his toe back in for help with a small problem on my air-cooled Westy.  Problem is that the blinker turns off after completing a left turn but doesn't turn off after completing a right turn.  Since I'm going to pull the steering wheel off anyway because of an ignition switch issue I thought I might take a stab at correcting this other annoyance, too.


Anyway, does anybody have thoughts on what's causing this behavior?  While I used to have 2 Vanagons, the other one - with its turn signal that worked correctly - is now razor blades or something so I'd like to pre-order any needed replacement parts before I dive into the job.
