Happy Canada Day to you northern vanagon enthusiasts & syncronauts...didn't see any VW vans on the road between Vancouver and Vernon this morning other than a older Type II Westy which was doing pretty well with keeping up with the flow of traffic and a couple of Eurovans.

So after doing some local research and finding a place, I've decided to have the body on my 86 Syncro Westfalia restored...was thinking about selling for a long time and buying a weekender but I've changed my mind. With the restoration booked in a couple of weeks I'm beginning to start a components list - seals, bumper end pieces, mud flaps...etc. What I would really like is to find the "Volkswagen", "Vanagon" & "Syncro" name plate emblems which are mounted onto and below the rear hatch door. Not sure where mine fell off or were pried off...probably before the first bad paint job the van had before it was mine. Anyway does anyone have a line on some good used emblems.

Anyway - it feels good to think that my Syncro will have its life extended...I will try to send out updates of the process and possibly a photo or two.

Thanks,

Bruce Todd
