On my 83.5 the low side is to the right of the compressor. So if I was staring at it from the back it would be on the passenger side.
Not sure if that helps.
And you should be packing for the Jim Thorpe campout instead of fussing with your AC. :)
BTW, I have a guage to test AC pressure if you want to wait until tommorow.
