Did it have the correct battery?

I probably should've added that line to my question.

Cheers,

Jeff

Has anyone ever had their battery short due to one of the lids making contact?

I've never seen it happen, and I've been through hundreds of Vanagons over the years.

I've never shorted anything but I did manage to get some pretty heafty sparks flying once when I closed that lid on one of my old Vanagons. Scary!!!
