Subject: Fryeday: machine screws and Loctite?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

On reading glasses, that is.

One gets a little tired of having to constantly re-tighten the bitty little screws that hold the temple pieces to the glasses. Especially if one is farsighted and needs to find a second pair of glasses in order to work on the first.

One wonders if a bitty drop of Loctite could be used on the non-head end of the bitty little screws. I figured that this group's bunch of old codgers* probably use glasses a lot, and know their onions when it comes to the proper application of Loctite.

No Vanagon content although a lively discussion of Loctite and machine screws might be useful to someone.

========== * I'm 60. Well in the old fart category, and standing on the edge of codgerdom.
