I just fixed, pretty sure, intermittent no-start on a 1.9 waterboxer... was running and starting just fine. then wouldn't start.. found no ignition.. then a while later , it had ignition. put in a different distributor .. fixed. bad hall unit is my thinking.

I put a fuel pressure gauge on a long hose to the front so I could watch it. this van has 30 psi fuel pressure on it for hours after shutting it off. Like it should.

think about the distributor or connections to it, grounds, and hall sender inside the distributor. I am puzzled and baffled. The engine is 2.1L, the system is for the 1.9 engine, digijet. I have checked with the digitool all the possible items. Also checked fuel pressure, fuel pump ground. After driving for 40 minutes, it cuts out and would not start anymore. Feels like it wants to, but like there is not enough fuel. After 20 minutes it cools down and drives again for a short while. I'm at the end of my wits. It looks like, it must be some electrical item's failure. Anyone has an idea? Zoltan
