Nope. Dang boat is too heavy for two old short people to portage for
more than a few dozen yards. And there was a lot of portaging. We
cajoled, outright bribed, and charmed strapping young people in the
primes of their childbearing years to haul the thing. I don't have
enough affection for it to give it a name except for "That D*** Big Boat."

I'm keeping it strapped on the van(agon) for a few more days: we have a
camping trip this coming weekend at Little Cultus Lake near Bend, Ore.,
and after that I'll pull it down and use the /upside down j-hooks
screwed to the side of the van with 1/4'' stainless steel sheet metal
screws set in silicone bedding that I installed for this very purpose
and if the thought of doing that to a Vanagon upsets anyone then they
shoulda spoke up two weeks ago when I solicited ideas on how to tie a
big d*** boat on Mellow Yellow and Scott suggested this modification
which works peachy and I think makes darn good sense/ for some /other/
boat.

It will be a more luggable boat, I can tell you that.
