I worry about it happening when the front passenger seat is turned around and someone has their feet propped up here or that someone may stand on it to get something from the top bunk. ? David Clarkson 90 Westy

Has anyone ever had their battery short due to one of the lids making contact? I've never seen it happen, and I've been through hundreds of Vanagons over the years.
