Thank you for your kind words (that goes out to everyone).
I took Mellow Yellow out for a drive after dinner last night. It drives
just fine, no noticeable effect of the accident, which just might be a
fender-bender mechanically-speaking. The crumpled rear corner interferes
with the rear hatch a bit, but a bang with a hammer on a chunk of wood
widened the opening enough so the hatch works.
I'm taking the van to the shop today, if they have time to see me, to
have it inspected for mechanical issues.
If the insurance co. doesn't think the van is worth fixing, and if the
shop finds no mech issues, at least it's still a van. Not as pretty,
though.
