re "Your insurance company "

why is there talk about Squirrel's insurance company. if ones van burns to the ground say .. and you have comprehensive, then you'll talking with your insurance company .. but when another part is liable.. it's on them or their insurance company - I'm sure everyone knows that.

and if they want to total it, you work on educating them that they can be worth up to whatever.. $ 10K and that yours is worth at least 8K or whatever.

if it was me ....I'd get some estimates of course .. looks to me like up to a 3,000 dollar repair job , done pretty right .. that's what they owe you .. whatever the repair estimates reflect. if there is a deal on it being totaled...just get as much $ out of it as you can , AND keep the van .. though that might involve it having a salvage title perhaps.

yeah, those are tragic stories Don. it is a scam and a rip off ...if they know they can lowball you and it will just be too costly to fight it .. I am sad that humans treat each other this way.

so far, I've always made real easy money when a car of mine got hit by another .. 3 times off the top of my head... damage wasn't that bad, payment for it was easy to get and fair. I made $ each time too .. yeah 'hit me, I need the money.' ..lol.

just remembered another incident ..slashed MGB convertible top rear window.. got easy generous insurance payment ( my comprehensive ) for it .. fixed it myself, made money.

I hope it goes well for Mellow Yellow here. have them call me and I'll tell them what these special camper vans are worth. ( don't want rates to go up though for vanagons )
