Rocket,
I use the kind normally found at discount stores and the like, they
are pretty common and about $10 each. They come with a spring clamp
which I discard. I mount them to the metal dash of my diesel westy by
drilling and tapping into Harbor Freight welder's magnets, puck sized
devices which almost cannot be removed from a metal surface unless
some fabric is glued underneath to keep them from forming a molecular
bond with the substrate they are stuck to.
The fans work very well and can be moved to the back seat area when
needed. There is no problem with the air reaching the driver. I have
used them for five or six years now. One is noisy and the other is
quiet (not the blades, but the motor) so it is luck of the draw when
you buy them. The have an oscillation mode and a fixed-position mode.
