Makes one think about Dennis' "frothing" theory about the oil. I have no idea where the oil lines up on/over the valve body when properly filled, but I can imagine how it would get up into the plates etc. if filled too far. Whatever it is, it doesn't take much. German engineers leave almost no margin for error.
