This is a Frydaye topic but I won't be here tomorrow. As some have read ("Mellow Yellow got Hitted") there was a collision here earlier this week that dinged my Westy, but it totaled my employee's 1975 Type 2. He needs to get comps to show the insurance adjuster. I did not look closely at the bus, but it has some factory-installed camping bits inside, like a cabinet where our Vanagon Westies have their stove/sink setup. It does not have a poptop. The owner had recently looked up the VIN in Chilton's and says that they described the version as some kind of camper. Does anyone know what this might be? If it's a rarer breed than a straight Type 2 it will be worth more money. Please p-mail me offlist unless you feel like tossing your answer into the mix for debate and possible reprimands from Our Glorious Moderators. -- Rocky J Squirrel 84 Westfalia: Mellow Yellow ("The Electrical Banana") 74 Westrailia: (Ladybug Trailer company, San Juan Capistrano, Calif.)
