On my van (2WD) the engine compartment is a high-pressure area when driving, high enough to lift and move the hatch if it's not latched. I'd like to know whether that pressure is generated by the scoop (seems unlikely to me given its size) or coming from behind or underneath the vehicle. Is it known which direction the air normally flows in the left-hand vent column (the right isn't a vent, it's the main induction system)?

Yours, David
