Subject: cruise control trouble shooting
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed; delsp=yes

hello vanadudes... I have just installed cruise control on my 1984 westy with a bostig conversion.. i used components from a 1990 carat.

drove around the block and tried it a few times and it is not working : (..

opened up the bently page section 27.29 and started trouble shooting.

it passed the first 2 tests... on test #3 the vacume vent valves. it says to conect the test light between 1 and 3 of the harness connector. at this point with the ignition and cruise to on position my test light should light up and once i press the brake and clutch the light should go out, if so it passes.... well the proble is i don't get a light.. and it doesn't say what to do in this situation...

anybody have a suggestion?

don't worry i tested the test light and it is working flawlessly

thanks Jay
