If there is no electricity at the pump, but the van would go if there was,
then just make up a connection from the battery straight.  I have done it
many times and drove thousands of miles that way.
Usually some kind of ground connection, fuel filter, relay, fuel pump, etc
failure, if the other parts are fine.
