michael, without knowing your driving habits, or the state of your engine's maintenance, it's hard to offer advice.  Not a straughtforward comparison, because mine is a stick shift and a camper, but on my current trip from Oklahoma to Spokane, Washington, (almost exactly 3K miles at this point), I have ranged from 18.24 to 22.58 mpg on 250 mile legs, with an overall average 0f 20.06 mpg.  I drive at 60 mph on inerstates and other major highways, slower on mountain roads and back roads.  Mine has near perfect engine function, and a recent new oil in the transmission.
