Subject: Source for longer wheel bolts & studs?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Ok, so I got some EV wheels, 15x6 ET55, which appears to be off a '96+ EV. Offset is worse than the earlier ones which are either ET51 or ET45, but the price was right. I think 12mm spacer at the front will do (I got 2x1/4" with wheels); the rear fit fine on their own with the drum retaining bolts removed. The design of the wheel allows 2 threads of the rear nuts to show, so about 5-10mm longer studs are needed. At the front, with 12mm spacers plus another 5-6mm for thicker wheel seat area means at least 15mm or 20mm longer bolts.

For the centre bore, wheels are 57mm, and I need at least 60mm to clear front hub. I've ground the lip off one bearing cap to be flush with the hub diameter, so only need 1.5mm or so off the wheels.

Is this something a dealer might have if I have the right part #? Or the wrecker? (does the EV use bolts or studs?) Or a list vendor that can get them to me in Victoria within a few days?
