Thank you everyone for your advice and tips. I am aware that it raises the seat up an inch or two - my GL might have Westy seats in it now so that might not be a big deal - I'm only installing the swivel on the passenger side anyway. I considered the old switheroo method of removing the seat and installing it backwards - I'm sure it works but it sounds a bit cumbersome and having never owned a Westy, a swivel seat has always been a desired upgrade for me.
The part was dropped off at my work last night so I just saw it this morning. It's in good shape but I am hoping when it was cut out it wasn't cut too narrow. We'll see when I actually get it near the bus and can size it up a bit. Again thank you all - I'll return with more questions should I need to.
