It is surely tight and without any gaps!
I believe the all the manual steering Vanagon steering wheels are the same
but perhaps more Vanagon plagued folks like Chris T. or Jeff S. can confirm?
They are also not padded like the smaller power steering wheels so the grip
gauge is smaller than the power steering wheel.

Tighter is better with these. If it's loose at all you can get some gaps
when you lace it up.
The BX size is not listed as fitting the Vanagon with manual steering. I
know gowesty has a listing for this, but it's a custom size.
Do you know if your steering wheel is the same as the early Vanagon without
power?

I don't have the measurements for the early Vanagon steering wheels, but
it's easy to measure and you can call us to order.
Wheelskins can be made to order and shipped direct from the factory. They
