Scott,

My Dad gave me a can of stuff that works wonderfully for hose to flange connections - "Gaska-cinch" it's like a rubber cement stuff that acts as a lube for assembly of tight fittings, bonds nicely, and comes apart easily. His neighbour, a long time marine mechanic recommended it. I pull that flange when I change coolant soon, but for now, I'm hoping it's just the hose.
