I'd find some way of accurately measuring them. Some 10-24 all-thread, a coupler nut and two jam nuts and a couple of small acorn nuts (for the ends, so the point radius is smaller than the drum radius) might be a good start.

I had mine machined once and they came out all wobbly. Shop said that the way VW did the center hole doesn't work very well with US-type brake lathes. YMMV.
