Hi John,


If you don't want to use acetone try a can of carb cleaner; that product
is designed to help remove deposits from your fuel system.


Fill inlet end of the pump with solvent, then flip it over and fill the
other end. Repeat. Then pulse the pump with power. Change the polarity
of the power supply and try again. Eventually it will start to spin.


I have usually had good results with this procedure but a couple years
ago I did find one pump that after about 2 hours work would spin just
fine but would not move fuel.
