Hi Bill,

If you are getting emails from the vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com address they
are not unsolicited; it's part of the way the listserv works.

With the vanagon list being such a busy place, I create a filter for
incoming mail and divert all my email from "gerry" to a separate folder in
my inbox. That way I can allow it to accumulate until I have time to read
it. I also use my email app to sort the mail by thread so I can ignore the
threads that are not of interest.

Some people even go another step further, and create an email account
specifically for the vanagon list. G-mail is very handy for this, but
there are plenty other ways it can be done.

And as Loren pointed out, there are some controls that can be used to
manage the connection from the server side as well.
