I have already tried this some years ago. If you all "remember" but of course none do as is "normal" I had offered these as a solution and was selling them and installing them here in my shop. BUT, after some personal use it was discovered to be VERY inaccurate. The problem is this > Propane in the tank is LIQUID and the pressure of that liquid CHANGES with the temperature ! So as the temperature of the tank goes up so does the pressure and vice versa ! So how are you to incur any accuracy from that SMALL detail ? It will also show high pressure right up until the tank is completely EMPTY due to what ever propane is left in the tank getting hot and expanding and causing a high pressure reading on the gauge ! The ONLY way to measure propane in a tank is with a mechanical float level gauge. Manchester tank has these BUT, (I know another BUT), you will need to cut a hole in your tank and WELD in the bung that accepts the level gauge. Know any welders in your area willing to do this ? Good luck, BTW, I do have such a welder in my back yard !
