dear father this is such a good idea ... i have never been to burning man ..but ... have seen loads of pics and was a worker at a folk fest way back in the day (1978) weeks work building stage prep of field .. then work the stage as a PA around 10K persons attended the weekend ... it rained at night so we had to keep boards covered and dry with hair dryer in the morning ... there was lots of weird stuff ... to be sure ... 10 years after the end of free love there was still some lingering wantabees and because there were many dodgers and deserters around then ... the crowd was thick with disregard for convention ... though mostly well behaved ... i dont recall a single police incident the entire weekend .. :) sending your kidlet into the fray ... with a strong visible home plate is a really good idea ... yours
