for sure ..
if it's really cold...
then you need all the heaters you can get.

I did a trip to Lake Louise Alberta Canada at New Years once, in a 5 speed
1.9 TD vanagon with only a front heater .
just the one heater was not up to the job of keeping the cabin very warm I
must say.
brrrr.
