Eight years ago I had a engine immobilizer installed as anti theft device. It shuts of the starter and fuel, I believe, until you activate device with a digital key thing. It has worked perfectly. On three occasions in the past two months, when I had been driving for awhile, when I turned off vehicle and then went to restart it vehicle would not start for 5 minutes or a little more. The immobilizer light shuts off as it should when activated but vehicle will not start. It has never done this when vehicle is cold. I assumed it was the immobilizer and am having it replaced tomorrow, however, could this be a start issue with the vehicle. I I hate to lay out the money for a new immobilizer if it's not the problem. Any advice appreciated and thank you for taking time to read.
