Granted I've done it before, but I'll wager that I could (if hard-pressed) do the entire job in fifteen minutes, and I can't for the life of me remember any particular difficulties dealing with the thing on the bench. Unless I'm remembering all wrong you take off the black plastic backing-piece, pop the flexible circuit loose in 2-3 places and it's all laid out in front of you. While you're in there you put brighter LEDs in for the oil and alternator (extra few minutes for that because you have to bend the leads to match and make sure the polarity is correct).
