Hey Scott, Understood that your advice was general advice for general audience, not specific advice for Rocky J Squirrel. Oil and ATF fluid levels read good, no change after 240 miles of farting around Flathead Lake. Leakage does not smell of gear oil, so it is a mystery. My shop mechanic called with suggestion to check power steering fluid, if my car has power steering, which it doesn't, otherwise check fluid levels and proceed back to Bend. That's the plan, I reckon. Many thanks for your thoughts. Am departing this morning, and will be in Bend on Friday afternoon. I will take the van to the shop and advise what a trained eye sees. -- Rocky J Squirrel 84 Westfalia: Mellow Yellow ("The Electrical Banana") 74 Westrailia: (Ladybug Trailer company, San Juan Capistrano, Calif.)
