My "small-back-yard" of Moab, has been dealing with their city council, who apparently want to live in the deep pockets of "developers", over the last 15 years. The citizens are about 50-50 so far. The latest "win" saved their millions- of-years-old aquifer out above Spanish Valley. There is NO safety by just relying on an "independent body" ... they have fresh cash in their pockets from those same developers. No sleep-walking allowed in citizenship .... it's a full time job. This entire area is such a favorite spring and fall, and the La Sals in the heat of summer, there is more vanagon content in the Fryedaye rambling than most/ many other destinations. bob ... what Tim said.
