I was re-packing my CV's yesterday for the first time on my low-mileage '87 Westy, and discovered some serious rust on my driver's-side rear backing plate. I need a good used one and a hardware kit ASAP. The info is; Backing plate, rear brake, LH, 251 609 425D. Also, why does the rear shoe look like the riveted lining is cut short by about 2 inches on the bottom from the factory? Is this typical?

Thanks, Mike B.
