Subject: 2 Crazy Interior Cooling Fan Ideas
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hi all.

I noticed the vents on the bottom of the slider door. Seems they "connect" with the interior of slider.

What are they for? Vents so windows don't pop out when slider shut? They seem large for drains....

Crazy thought #1: Install 1 or 2 computer case fans at bottom of slider door to maybe bring in outside air directing it toward Dometic fridge grill. Thought it might also help keep interior temps lower in hot weather. It would involve insulated ducting of some kind.

Crazy thought (more plausible) #2: a semi-permanent fan at driver side slider window. Large computer case fan and some kind of metal grill. (grill to keep prying fingers out) Thought a mesh type cooling used for baking would fit. Like this

Thoughts? Comments?

Was thinking of alternatives to installing a vent on pop top. They are pricey, and I've read they can leak. But that's likely due to install error. Still. If there was a less expensive way for us w/o the factory installed vent....

Neil.
