You can bolt up a fork mount like Don did or you can just bolt that same fork mount to the middle of a 3 ft long 2x8. I did this for a number of years. The 2x8 will hold the bike in place with little or no chance of tipping because of its width. I glued some non slip 1/16" rubber to the bottom as well. The 2x8 allows you to avoid putting more holes in your van and gets out of the way easily enough when your bike is elsewhere.
