I was trying to run down a problem LED and applied 12v while the foil
was out, and ended up roasting a segment. I suppose I could have died
from the fumes, but more likely came closer to a heart attack knowing
that I had one less spare instrument cluster to work with.
Tragedy was surely a strong choice of words back when the clusters
were $15 apiece all over ebay. Now the term is closer to the truth.
