no treatment needed, but some folks have "scotchguarded" the cotton fabric.

most important is to get the fabric dry as soon as possible after camping in the wet. Pop the top at home, sunny day for example. Also, during the cold damp off season, try and pop the top in a dry place if you can.

I find removing the upper bunk mattresses in winter helps to get air circ up there, helps keep mold off the interior of the pop top too.

You can get air drying devices, either chemical or a gentle heater, at marine supply places, and that helps in the off season.

The pop top fabric, although it looks delicate, is quite durable.

cheers

Hello All, I have 85 Westfalia. I love it! I was wondering what kind of care I should take of my tent. Does it need conditioned? If so, how often? I have to admit I do not open it up much.I sleep on lower bunk just find, and I'm pretty short and do not need any extra headroom! At the same time I do not want to cause any harm to it. Thanks in advance for any advice! Tina Ginger 85 westy camper
