Hi Greg.

My Haynes Air cooled Vanagon manual states:

"If the friction material is less than 1.00 mm (0.039") above the rivet heads, or if the linings are black ...... disc must be renewed."

Seems to me that since Bentley shows a "Gasoline" clutch image on P 30.4, the above should suffice for the WBX too.
